what famous people said about MUHAMMAD SAW.

1. His complete biography has been authenticated and circulated amongst scholars around the world starting while he was still alive and continuing up until today. One of the first examples we quote from is from the Encyclopedia Britannica, as it confirms:

(regarding Muhammad) ". . . a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men."
(Vol. 12).[1]

2. Another impressive tribute to Muhammad, peace be upon him is in the very well written work of Michael H. Hart, "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History." He states that the most influential person in all history was Muhammad, peace be upon him, with Jesus second. Examine his actual words:

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level."
(Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, p. 33.).[1]

3. While we are reviewing statements from famous non-Muslims about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, consider this:

"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"
(Lamartine, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp. 276-277.).[1]

4. George Bernard Shaw, a famous writer and non-Muslim says:

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness."
(The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936).[1]

5. K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian (Hindu) professor of Philosophy, in his booklet "Muhammad the Prophet of Islam" calls him the "perfect model for human life." Professor Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."[1]

6. What should we think about our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when someone with the worldly status such as Mahatma Gandhi, speaking on the character of Muhammad, peace be upon him, says in 'YOUNG INDIA':

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind... I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life."[1]

7. English author Thomas Carlyle in his 'Heroes and Hero Worship', was simply amazed:

"How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades."[1]

8. And Diwan Chand Sharma wrote in "The Prophets of the East":

"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him"
(D.C. Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12)
Muhammad, peace be upon him, was nothing more or less than a human being, but he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God' and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.[1]

9. Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, Sarojini Naidu says:

"It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother."
(S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169)[1]

10. In the words of Professor Hurgronje:

"The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." He continues, "the fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations."[1]

11. Edward Gibbon and Simon Ockley, on the profession of ISLAM, writes in "History of the Saracen Empires":

"I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
(History of the Saracen Empires, London, 1870, p. 54)[1]

muhammad

12. Wolfgang Goethe, perhaps the greatest European poet ever, wrote about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He said:

"He is a prophet and not a poet and therefore his Koran is to be seen as Divine Law and not as a book of a human being, made for education or entertainment."
(Noten und Abhandlungen zum Weststlichen Dvan, WA I, 7, 32)[1]

13. W Montgomery Watt an Emeritus Professor in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Edinburgh wrote:

"His readiness to undergo persecution for his beliefs, the high morale character of the men who believed in him and look up to him as a leader, and greatness of his ultimate achivement all argue his fundemental integrity. To suppose Muhammad was an impostor raises more problems than it solves"
( Mohammad At Mecca, Oxford, 1953, p 52).[2]

14. In his book, Reverend Bosworth Smith stated that;

"He was a Ceaser and a Pope in one; but he was a Pope without Pope's pretensions, Ceaser without legions of Ceasers: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say thathe ruled by the right devine, it was Muhammad, for he had all the power without its instrument an d without its supports"
(Mohammad and Mohammadism, London 1874, p 92).[2]

15. Annie Besant, a woman's right activist admires Muhammad as follows;

"... And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which maybe fimiliar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher"
('The Life and Teaching of Muhammad', Madras 1932 p 4).[2]

sPeCiAl tHiNg fr0M oUr pReSeNtati0N.......

SAADAH (JAPAN)

She talked about internet in education in Japan. At there, its quite difficult to their teacher because internet usually in english but they cannot understand because they love their mother tounge. One of the way that teacher use through an email. Each students must exchanging email with recent graduates and hearing about university experiences. That way the teacher can build and increase their student motivation.

MAZIAH (SINGAPORE)

In Singapore, if student have to miss their lesson, they still able recieve the notes and can take test online in the event that the school have to be shut down. for example you can see at ITE website http://www.ite.edu.sg . But for me, it true that will make it for all but it also will increase student problems like loitering and they will always skips their class. Besides that, it will make no close realationship between teacher and student.

SITI HAJAR (ISRAEL)

she talked about internet in education in Israel. What the interesting here is, In Israel they have their own intruction delivery how to to use the internet in their education. It call "The English Global Village (AMALNET). That process can help the student in Israel to improve their english and competency using the internet. Besides that their activities based on guided research and the teacher teach themusing internet, assimiliting a new vocabulary and generating repot. You can visit their website at www.amalnet.com

NURAMALINA (UTAH)

In Utah, i' am very attract when Amalina said that all the teacher and the classroom have a computer that use for grading, attendances and others. It will attract their students because as we know students more like to use the internet for their learning because it have animation, graphic, text and others that can make them not boring during learning process.

FADZLINA (JAPAN)

In Japan also have another story. To make internet getting more interesting in their education, they making class web site. This way for student to use english to share their opinion or result and ideas of their research and class work with the world. It will make student can share their information with student from west or east.

AZLIZA (INDONESIA)

Azliza said in Indonesia, have a website that lecturer can upload their notes or power point that call "SCRIBD". But is more for higher education like university. The lecturer will upload the notes and student can download the notes anytimes. Besides that, this website also have a space for comment. So, if student have any problem about the topic the can ask their lecturer through online.

SERENA (USA)

In USA, they have a School-business Partnership for technology that call The Schoolhouse Project. This is an educational outreach and school-to-work program for high school students. This program provides training for the teacher and students in the use of the internet in the classroom and instruction in related computer technology.

UMA (SINGAPORE)

In Singapore, we can see they using the internet in their curriculum and assessment. They use IT for 30 % of the curriculum. Its mean they already compel that IT as a important subject for their education. Besides that. they use IT as tools rather than subject.

WEE (DEVELOPED COUNTRY)

She said. in most developed country, they use internet in their education as a publication. Publication mean communicationof information to the public. Its will healp creator or for this context it mean students. This way will help students be more creative and productive. the material also allow visibility on the net. Its will be generatefedback like ideas, grades and suggestion. So, the education with internet will be more interesting.

why iam not pay attention..

during the presentation, i'am quit not give 100% attention to the presentation. There are 2 situation .
The 1st situation is i 'am not really pay attention for the presentation before my presentation because that time i am very nervous to wait my turn. I still give the attention but not 100%. That time 1,am very "buzy" to pay attention with my nervous feeling...sometimes i am listen and sometimes i am lost...
And the 2nd situation is the presentation after my presentation..that time i feel so boring to wait they finish all their presentation..
The conclusion is some of us make agood presentation and be a good presenter...some of us also still have the lack like text from power point so long and not clear..some of us just read the power point and the voice is slow and we cannot listen what she talking about...
Anyway...for overall, all of us try the best and WELL DONE...like Ms Ng said dont think that we dont know very much about internet and dont underestimed with our selves....CHAYOK!!!!

mY preSenTAtioN..7/8/08....????

For me i do my best for my presentation and i work hard for that...i speak louder and i hope Ms Ng, En. Hafiz and all my friends can listen and understand what i'am trying to explained about the topic to them...
But... as usually we think we already do the best..but, sometimes we cannot judges our own selves. Just people around us know listened what i'am talking about during the presentation can gives the comment.
So, for my concerned friends, if you feel my presentation have lacks..(i know there are many lacks....hehehehe) please give me comments that can build me to do better than this presentation after this...
BUT..dont condemn me just not me but for all of us..Lets us help and give a motivation to each other...:-)

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

PPEA 2106..Watch out!!!!!

this task is so very interesting because it make all of use often ask and discuss each other....
while ...not many student for this subject...but we still cooperate and help each other...

suddenly i remember one of the tv programme for kid -WONDER PET- they said..."apa yang penting...kerjasama"...even its in malay...but this sentence so meaningful to us in one class and as a one team....:-)

ThREe cOndiTiOn tO aQuiRe eXellAnt ChAracter

This is one example of the excellent character with which Allâh, the Exalted, has equipped his Messenger . He described him as,

“Verily, you (Muhammad) are on an exalted standard of character.” [Al-Qalam (68): 4]

'Â’ishah (radiyAllâhu ‘anhâ), described him as,

“His character was just [a reflection of] the Qur’ân.”[1]

Such excellent character cannot be attained without three conditions:

1) The foundation must be good. If one has a rough and dry nature, it will be hard for him to submit to this [excellence of character] through knowledge, will, or practice. On the other hand, a mild and smooth nature will be ready and willing to receive the plowing and the seeds [to prepare it for character excellence].

2) The soul must be strong and capable of conquering calls of laziness, transgression, and desire. Those matters contradict perfection, and souls that cannot defeat them will always be defeated and conquered.

3) [One must possess] a discerning knowledge of the truth of matters, enabling one to put them in the rightful position, and to distinguish between flash and cancer - between glass and jewels.

If these three qualities are present in a man, and Allâh’s facilitation helps him, then he will be among those whom the best (husnâ) has been decreed and for whom Allâh’s care has been secured.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTATION FOR ME....:-)

You know a dream is like a river....

ever changing as it flows.

And a dreamer's just a vessel that must follow where it goes.

Trying to learn from what's behind you and never knowing what's in store

makes each day a constant battle just to stay between the shores.

And I will sail my vessel 'til the river runs dry.

Like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky.

I'll never reach my destination if I never try,

So I will sail my vessel 'til the river runs dry.

Too many times we stand aside and let the water slip away.

To what we put off 'til tomorrow has now become today.

So don't you sit upon the shore and say you're satisfied...

Choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tides.

new sem is come back..!!!

now i'am a second year student..and....for this sem we must to tak internet and education as our minor subject...WOW...its mean we must to prepare our self for this subject....
At the first i feel afraid and worried about this subject because i know who am i....
i'am not really know and expert how to use internet...so many thing that i must to learn....

in our first class, Ms Ng...our lucturer told us about an assigment...1 by 1...at the time...i feel...i dont know how to discribe... but...when i look Ms Ng..she is so kind we feel that easy to us to ask her when we have a problem about our learning...she said to us " dont afraid to try and we must to explored if we want to be an expert to us the technology"....it make me feel a little bit better than before...I MUST TO TRY AND DO IT!!!!!!!! I CAN DO IT!!!!! insyaallah.......
